Joey Horn is
a business administration professional with experience in upper management and
on corporate boards in private business, but is also experienced in the
non-profit sector. She lives in Oslo and works for Oak Management, an investment
portfolio company. Her current role is
managing director.
Joey has led
a life full of travel and is a true world citizen. Of Indian heritage, Joey
grew up between the two great cities of Paris and New York. Following
graduation from the United Nations International School, Joey pursued an
undergraduate degree in biology at Williams College. To further her expertise and
growing interest in business after working for a few years at Smith Barney,
Harris Upham & Co. Inc., Joey completed an MBA at Yale University in 1991.
Since then, she has kept busy at a range of important companies in positions
such as vice president, director, and independent director. Some of the
companies she’s had the privilege to serve include Asia Offshore Drilling
Limited, Norse Energy, Greylock Management and Saks Fifth Avenue.
As a philanthropist
and volunteer, Joey has been heavily involved in the non-profit sector by
serving on the boards of various organisations, making contributions and
volunteering as much as possible. She is especially committed to supporting her
alma mater, Williams College, where she served as a trustee from 2009 through
2017. In addition, she and her husband have made significant contributions to
the school via financial gifts directed towards the new library and residence
hall.
In her free
time, Joey enjoys collecting art and exercising through tennis, hiking and
golf.
